2 LESSONS FOR MILLENNIALS FROM THE MOST POWERFUL WOMEN IN ENTERTAINMENT

Hollywood has been known as a male-dominated industry since its start, but there’s no denying that women are taking over the entertainment industry in a way that has never been seen before. Forbes recently released their list of The Most Powerful Women in Entertainment (which includes women who range from entertainers to major studio executives) and released a statement noting that the top eleven women on the list alone “have a combined social media imprint exceeding six billion followers and fans.” Thanks to the multiple social media platforms these women use to interact with their fans across the world, women in entertainment have a combined social impact greater than some of the world’s leaders. http://www.bsmartguide.com/learn/women-leadership/1159-2-lessons-for-millennial-women-from-the-most-powerful-women-in-entertainment.html

2 DIGITAL DATING LESSONS TO MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR MATCH

If I've learned anything as a single woman in the last few years, it’s that dating is never going to be simple. Meeting someone you’re attracted to, getting to know that person, getting to the point where you actually have feelings for them, and then maintaining a committed relationship is not a smooth process. But as someone who always finds things in my life to focus on other than dating, simple is exactly what I wanted it to be. ON LOVING OUR MUSLIM NEIGHBORS DESPITE A COUNTRY'S FEAR

On March 22, 2016, our world was yet again rocked with tragedy. In Belgium’s capital city of Brussels, the hateful hearts of few took the lives of many, and incited an echo of fear in people of every nationality, color, and religion across the world. In light of these events, I have heard one of America's leading presidential candidates say that there is ‘no choice’ but to put a temporary ban on Muslims coming into this country. This same man has also made statements about all of Islam being hateful. He has made statements saying that he would be open to wholesale surveillance on our Muslim citizens and open to searching their mosques without warrants. http://www.bsmartguide.com/learn/how-to-find-love/1352-we-stand-for-love-on-loving-our-muslim-neighbors-despite-a-country-s-fear.html

WHY YOU SHOULD EMBRACE FAILURE

There are about one thousand ways we can fail every day. We didn’t wake up early enough, we didn’t finish a project by deadline, we fumbled in a job interview, we burned the chicken we were grilling for dinner . . . the list can go on and on. And then there are periods in life when we feel like we haven’t just failed at something, but that we ourselves are failures. We try to pack up all of the things we haven’t done and haven’t achieved into a cardboard box, mail it as far away as we can from ourselves with ‘Do Not Return to Sender’ stamped across the front, and continue going about our lives as if the message, ‘You’re a failure,’ hasn’t already etched itself into the core of our hearts and driven the direction of our days. http://bsmartguide.com/learn/women-leadership/1184-why-you-should-embrace-failure.html
